Job Role: Part-Time Bookkeeper
Job Description: Vision Education & Media dba Robofun provides exciting, hands-on after school programs using emerging technologies for PK-12th grade youth. We ignite kids’ passion to explore and solve problems as they learn to invent, build, code, and troubleshoot. We believe learning should be fun! We are currently seeking a highly capable and entrepreneurial Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a primarily remote position that averages 12 hours per week and offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the company's overall growth strategy. This is a 1099 position. Hourly wage range is $30.00 - $55.00 per hour. There will be a requirement of 1-2 days a month in-person in the office.
The ideal candidate will possess 3 years of experience providing exceptional bookkeeping services within a small company environment. We seek an individual with outstanding organizational capabilities, comfortable supporting a cross-departmental team, and adept at direct, clear communication. This role requires an individual who thrives on collaboration and engaging with colleagues and clients, yet can work effectively and independently. The Bookkeeper will report directly to the President/CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable, including timely and accurate coding, posting of invoices, and consistent client follow-up for prompt payment.
Execute all journal entries and perform comprehensive bank reconciliations.
Maintain and update 13-week cash flow planning spreadsheets, yearly revenue trackers, historic year-over-year revenue tracking, yearly budgets, and end-of-year taxes.
Track and monitor progress for designated finance initiatives and projects.
Ensure continuous compliance with insurance and governmental accounting audits and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
AIPB certification is a plus.
Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
High proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office Suite, and Airtable.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
Strong collaborative spirit combined with the capacity for independent work.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Possesses maturity, compassion, discernment, and maintains strict confidentiality.
Ability to balance weekly operational tasks with active participation in strategic discussions.
