Want a better way for your child to spend his/her summer?

Our Pre-Robotics and Coding & Game Design programs are designed to allow your child to engage, flourish and enjoy their day off. Please note: Regardless of which class they take, or how many times they have taken it, our students do not repeat previous projects - they are always challenged and, when they are ready, they work on a new and interesting assignment.

We are kicking off our 21st Anniversary celebration with a LIMITED-TIME 21% OFF DISCOUNT on all summer camp programs. Prices already reflect the lowest price - this discount will not be offered again once it is removed. Space is on a first-come basis.

LEGO® PRE-ROBOTICS

Kindergarten students use LEGO® building blocks, motors, and switches to build cars, trains, chomping alligators, Ferris Wheels and more! In our fun-filled classes, students learn the basics of simple machines and engineering. During each STEM lesson, they’ll discover the wonder of energy flow, gear meshing, and electricity; your child will uncover the science behind their constructions! Children work in partnership and develop critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration skills. Students use their imaginations and apply newly-acquired mechanical skills to design and build their own creations.

Please note: Regardless of which class they take, or how many times they have taken it, our students do not repeat previous projects - they are always challenged and, when they are ready, they work on a new and interesting assignment.

Required Skills: None. Open to curious children of all skills and abilities.

CODING & GAME DESIGN

In our coding and game design program, our students learn the basics of the Scratch Jr. programming environment. Each child makes their own interactive stories and games by snapping together graphical blocks. Students learn to edit and modify characters, and add their own sounds, voices and movement. Each child works on his or her own iPad. Scratch Jr. was developed by Dr. Mitchel Resnick and associates of the MIT Media Lab. Dr. Resnick is one of Robofun’s Board members and trusted advisors.

Please note: Regardless of which class they take, or how many times they have taken it, our students do not repeat previous projects - they are always challenged and, when they are ready, they work on a new and interesting assignment.

Required Skills: None. Open to curious children of all skills and abilities.

WHAT PARENTS SAY

“What I find unique and impressive about Robofun is their inclusion philosophy; everyone is welcomed and every child’s learning style and behavior are carefully attended to. Robofun is structured and very friendly, and they literally unlocked my child’s creativity. Watching his level of pride when he comes home and can tell me about what he’s constructed and how it works is very fulfilling. There are areas where Henry has trouble "fitting in," but at Robofun he's just like everyone else.”
