Mid Winter & Spring Break Camps

 

Camps are equally suited for new and returning students!

RoboFun staff ensure that each child, whether a new or returning camper, is challenged with new technologies and new projects every time they visit RoboFun.

RoboFun offers both full day and half day options.

Ages 6 - 12 (Children must be 6 years old by the program start date.)

Spring Recess I: Monday, March 19 - Friday, March 23, 2012

Spring Recess II: Monday, March 26 - Friday, March 30, 2012

Spring Break: Monday, April 9 - Friday, April 13, 2012 

Daily Schedule

LEGO® Robotics: 9AM - 12PM 

Video Game Design*: 1PM - 4PM

Extended Day Hours: 8:30AM - 5PM
Extended Day Fee: $30 per day

Half-day price: $390
Full-day price: $660

Additional Details

Students should bring their own lunch and snacks.

There is a morning break and afternoon break where students may enjoy their own snacks.

Please remember that RoboFun is a nut-free facility. 

Full Day students take a break from 12pm-1pm for lunch and recess.  We visit a local playground for recess, weather permitting.

Only Full Week Enrollment is available for all camp programs.

These camps will take place at our new location: 2672 Broadway between 101st & 102nd.

In the morning, campers participate in LEGO® Robotics

ROBOFUN ROBOTICS is an exciting and innovative workshop that teaches science, math, engineering and computer literacy using the LEGO® RCX or NXT Mindstorms® Robotics system. Young people explore their unique creativity while learning new skills in problem solving, mechanics, spatial reasoning and much more.

In the afternoon, campers participate in Scratch Video Game Design

ROBOFUN VIDEO GAME DESIGN is an innovative workshop that teaches math, computer literacy and basic programming methods using game designing software called Scratch. Young people explore their unique creativity while learning new skills in problem solving, creative writing, sequencing and much more. 

*It is recommended that participants in our video game design program have at least a first grade reading level to enjoy working with Scratch.
