RoboFun Summer Camp is equally suited for new and returning students grades K - 6.
Children should register for the camp program based on the grade they will be ENTERING in the fall.
On Fridays, parents are invited into the classroom to see student projects!
Dates:
We offer both full day and half day options for Grades 1 - 6 during each of the following weeks. Half day sessions of Kindergarten Kids will be offered during Week 1, 2 and 7 ONLY.

Week 4: July 1, 2, 3 & 5 (no camp on July 4th)

LEGO® Pre-Robotics
Students work cooperatively and experiment with science while they learn to build playful motorized creations with LEGO®.

$400 for AM LEGO® Pre-Robotics
Students should bring a NUT-FREE snack. We take a snack break during each session.

RCX LEGO® Robotics
Students will work together to design, construct and program their own interactive, autonomous robots using RCX LEGO® motors, sensors, microprocessors, and RoboLab® software.
$400 for AM LEGO® Robotics

PM Session
Scratch Video Game Design
Students will create their own engaging, interactive animations and video games complete with characters, settings, obstacles and controls using MIT Media Lab's Scratch software.
Our program emphasizes mathematics and literacy skills while fostering creativity and applied learning.
*Students should be reading on a first grade reading level for Scratch programming.
Student games will be uploaded to the Scratch website so they can continue working on their projects at home or show their friends and family.
$400 for PM Game Design

NXT LEGO® Robotics
Students will work together to design and construct their own interactive, autonomous robots using NXT LEGO® motors, sensors, and microprocessors. They will program missions and challenges inspired by FIRST Lego League (FLL) using MindStorms software.

$400 for AM LEGO Robotics

$325 for AM LEGO Robotics Week 4

Grades 4-6 have 2 options for the afternoon session: video game design or stop motion animation.
PM Session Option #1:
Scratch Video Game Design

Stop Motion Animation
Students author, design and direct their own stop-motion animation videos. Students write their scripts, create storyboards, and design characters and sets before they shoot, edit, and add music to their short films. Students will explore animating multiple types of media including clay, paper, toys and found objects.
$400 for PM Stop Motion
Stop Motion Animation is not offered Week 4, due to the July 4th holiday.

Students should bring their own NUT-FREE lunch and snacks (morning & afternoon).
Full Day students take a break from 12pm-1pm for lunch and recess at a local park, weather permitting. If it is raining, we watch short cartoon episodes as our break period or play a group game like "Apples to Apples" or "Pictionary."
Extended Day Hours are available from 8:30-9:00AM & 4:00-5:00 PM for an additional $30 per day. You may register for the extended day option in advance or schedule it on a daily basis by informing us of your needs at morning drop-off.
