Students author, design and direct their own stop-motion animation videos. Students write their scripts, create storyboards, and design characters and sets before they shoot, edit, and add music to their short films. Students will explore animating multiple types of media including clay, paper, toys and found objects.

Homeschool | Robotics Grades 1-6 10 session club NXT ROBOTICS: Homeschoolers will construct and program several projects using NXT MINDSTORMS® software and LEGO® materials.  Lessons will focus on sturdy building basics, programming using touch sensors, sound sensors and ultrasonic sensors, as well as programming robots to do specific tasks.  This program is recommended for beginners and intermediate level students.

Ages: 8-11

Price: $250 per child for the 10 class program. This is a special reduced rate for Homeschoolers.

Time: 1.5 hours

Homeschoolers are introduced to robotics by building and programming LEGO® projects, using sensors, motors and LEGO®'s playful WeDo software.

Projects may include an alligator that opens and closes its mouth as "prey" approaches, a bird with flapping wings, and an airplane whose propeller spins.

Young LEGO® enthusiasts and aspiring engineers will spend an hour building and exploring pre-robotics in this 5 program series.  Each week, students will create a motorized  project or contraption using LEGOS, battery boxes and motors.  Although projects will not be taken home, youngsters will have an unforgettable experience, developing math and science skills disguised as fun! Please note: This program is a drop-off program for students currently enrolled in Kindergarten

Off Site | Summer Camp at Blue School PreRobo K-2

RoboFun Programs at Blue School

Kindergarteners will see their LEGO® projects come to life at RoboFun!  Junior roboticists will construct a robotics creation using ROBOFUN designed blueprints while learning the building basics. Children work in cooperative groups building LEGO projects that incorporate movement using battery boxes, motors and switches.  

Off Site | Summer Camp at El Taller RCX Grades 1-3

**We are growing! Due to popular demand for robotics classes in certain weeks this summer, we will be running additional 9am-12pm sessions of RCX LEGO Robotics for students in grades 1-3. These classes will take place at El Taller, located at 2710 Broadway (between 103rd and 104th), a facility that offers classes in arts, music, dance, Spanish & English. We are thrilled they have found space for us!

Students will work with the same wonderful teachers and make the same exciting projects as the students taking classes at our own studio.

If you would like to see El Taller where your child will be working, please feel free to stop by and ask to see the room that will be used for RoboFun summer camp.
